Innovations in Mental Health and Equity
Psychedelic medicine is an approach to mental health care that is being reignited on the world stage. Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies have been shown effective in addressing a multitude of mental health conditions, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, end-of-life anxiety, and other conditions. Our lab is working to extend this work to marginalized groups and ensure access to people of color as these treatments become mainstream.

Friends of the University of Ottawa is an independent charity organized in the United States that works to support the University by collecting charitable contributions on behalf of Americans, and directing these dollars to support students, faculty, research and infrastructure projects at the University of Ottawa (uOttawa).
Friends of the University of Ottawa is exempt from U.S. federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is classified as a public charity and as such is eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions (EIN 52-1188938). Friends is listed in the IRS Search for Charities tool. The full amount of the donation goes to support the donor’s intent at the University of Ottawa.
