This study is titled: "Patterns of use and experiences related to cannabis in veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder," funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada and Veterans Affairs Canada.
Under the leadership of Dr. Rebecca Robillard, we are conducting a three-part study to better understand experiences and perceptions related to cannabis use in veterans with PTSD. Participants are Canadian veterans who have been living with PTSD at any stage over the past 2 years, and include those who do and do not use cannabis. They are being asked to complete a survey about their cannabis use and trauma symptoms. Some participants will also take part in a focus group, conducted via a web-based video-conferencing platform. During the focus group, participants will discuss experiences and thoughts pertaining to cannabis use in connection to lived experiences as an individual with PTSD or a history of PTSD.
